"I Believe in the Value of Relationships"
By Richard Maier, CPA
I believe in the value of relationships. I view every client relationship like a
partnership, and I truly believe that my success is a result of your success.
I am committed to providing close, personal attention to my clients. I take pride in giving you the assurance that personal assistance comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen. My continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of my commitment to excellence.
Background and Experience
I am a sole practitioner, and I have been in business since 1980. I employee 3 full-charge bookkeepers on a contract basis, and my wife, Lucinda, serves as the administrator. Before beginning my own practice, I worked for 8 years as a controller for a construction company.
As needed, I represent my clients before the Internal Revenue Service, and I testify as an expert witness. I use the latest technology to continue the growth of my practice, while continuing to provide personal service to my clients.
I recently became of member of the QuickBooks® Professional Advisors Program, and PeachTree® Partners.
Personal Background
Since 1969, I have been happily married to Lucinda - an old-fashioned high school romance. We have 3 children. Our oldest son graduated from Santa Clara University and is working for Ernst & Young. He passed the CPA exam and will be certified this year. Our middle daughter graduated from the University of Massachusetts in May of 1999, with a degree in communications, and I am proud to say that she is working for our firm. Our youngest son is a junior at UCLA, and he is majoring in microbiology.
I started coaching soccer when my oldest child was five years old, and I continued until our youngest graduated from high school in 1997. In addition, we were both involved in PTA and School Site Council during our children's schools years.
My family has always been important to me, and it is a major reason I chose to remain as a sole practitioner. It allowed me to work my schedule around my children's activities and to be there for them. We worked out of our home so we could be involved in our children's lives.
However, as of June 1, 2004, we moved
the office to 3595 Almaden Road.
As a Solution Provider, I have the advantage of giving my clients full-service QuickBooks® solutions.
Lucinda and I are now looking for new challenges in the days ahead, as this is just the beginning. Please take a look around our website and tell us what you think. You can email me direct at info@rmcpa.com.
Thank you.
